DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly detects the rear seat inner belt assembly condition when the ignition switch is ON. The combination meter assembly turns on the rear seat belt warning light when the tongue plate is not inserted in the buckle, and the combination meter assembly turns off the rear seat belt warning light when the tongue plate is inserted in the buckle.

Inspect the fuses for circuit related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

2.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Data List.

  1. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

    2nd-Row Seatbelt Buckle (L)

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

  1. Disconnect the D1 combination meter assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the D65 telltale light assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

  1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the front passenger seat belt warning light illuminates.
